Do you have a CBD product at home, but are not you sure about the dosing? Begin always with a small dose and increase until you feel any improvement. Thereafter, the dose can be reduced again. Why is such a sequence important? You will learn in today's article.
Simple rule - "less is sometimes more"
The ideal dose of CBD depends on a number of factors - the correct dosage depends on your weight, metabolism, and genetics. Because each individual is unique, everyone has to determine their own dosing. Some will only need a small amount of CBD, while others will require a higher dose to see the same effects.
If CBD is a novelty for you, we recommend starting with small doses - 2 drops twice a day, and then start increasing - depending on your condition. The CBD may take time before it starts to work - so wait at least 2 hours before taking the next dose.
Think of a simple rule: always start with small doses and gradually increase.
Generally, it's great to realize that once you get better with the CBD, you've come across your ideal dosing and you've practically won! Once you have set your ideal dosing, you no longer need to increase the dosage. Stay at the ideal dose for a while, and gradually reduce the dose within a few months.
CBD products are also unique in that you will not need to take more percent oil over time, on the contrary - the better you feel, the less CBD you will need.
We spoke about it with our expert adviser Pavel Čermák.
Hello Pavel. We are very glad that you have taken the time to talk about important topics of the CBD. Tell us, what is CBD in general?
CBD is one of the cannabinoids found in hemp.
How is CBD made?
CBD is made by extraction either in alcohol extract or by CO2 extract from technical hemp.
How does CBD help and work at all?
CBD helps our body by normalizing processes in the body. It has antidepressant, antipsychotic and anti-inflammatory effects.
There are different variations of hemp oil and differences in percentage. What is the difference? What percentage helps what?
In general, it is recommended to use 2% as a preventive measure. This 2% oil is recommended for autism. So start with a 2% percent. 5% is used for early-stage diseases and 10% is recommended for people who already have a worse stage of the disease or have more illnesses at a given time.
You speak of diseases. Which do you mean? When does CBD help the most?
CBD actually helps with a variety of illnesses, whether it's epilepsy, high blood pressure, or high blood glucose levels. Applying 2% CBD oil (about 6-8 drops per day) will reduce insulin application by up to 50%. For example, CBD also helps with various mental disorders as it is a natural antidepressant.
And what about the dosage?
As for the dosage, it is generally recommended to start with less than 1-2 drops twice a day and increase the dose after 2-3 days. If you experience an unpleasant side effect after increasing the dose or if the person is sleepy, feels restlessness, has nausea or diarrhea, return to the previous dose, stay on for 1-5 days and then try to increase the dose.
How to take CBD oil?
Under the tongue. Ideally, let the dose act under your tongue for a while (1-2 minutes), as it is absorbed through the mucous membrane. Then swallow and do not eat or drink for a little while.
Is there a limit, where can a person overdose?
CBD is not psychoactive. However, an overdose of CBD is not impossible.
Where is it better to store oil? And how long?
You can store about a year after opening the package. It's good to keep it in the fridge, but it's not a requirement.
