Is CBD safe for children?
CBD in very low concentrations (drops with 5% CBD concentration, oil in fish oil) has been used by parents for children over the long term as preventive immune support. However, it is always important to adjust the dosage to the child’s age and weight, and if you have any doubts, consult a paediatrician or our counselling service in advance.
What is the difference between CBD drops and hemp oil in fish oil?
Both options contain CBD and hemp oil, but they differ in form, taste and who they are intended for.
CBD drops are dropped under the tongue, where the active substances are quickly absorbed through the mucous membrane. They are suitable for adults and older children who tolerate drops well. If the bitter taste of hemp bothers them, the drops can be added to juice, or you can choose the fruit-flavoured option.
Hemp oil in fish oil also contains a blend of fish oils and rosemary extract. It is dosed by spoon, has a neutral taste thanks to rosemary extract and also provides the bonus benefits of fish oil — DHA and EPA fatty acids, which are scientifically proven to contribute to the proper development of the brain and eyesight. For everyday preventive care in children, this is our most commonly recommended choice.
Important: oil in fish oil is suitable for children who are already used to fish oil — or for those where you want to introduce fish oil into the diet together with the benefits of CBD. Fish oil generally supports immunity, and parents of children with ADHD or autism report positive experiences.
How should CBD products be dosed for children?
The basic rule is: always start with the lowest dose and gradually observe the reaction. For oil in fish oil, the daily dose is approximately 1 tablespoon (5 ml), which contains around 20 mg of CBD. With CBD drops, we start with 1–2 drops per day and increase if needed. Is hemp ointment for children also suitable for eczema?
Yes — hemp ointment is made from gentle natural ingredients without preservatives or petroleum derivatives and is well tolerated by sensitive children’s skin. Parents most often use it for dry patches, eczema and irritation from diapers or clothing. We always recommend testing the product on a small area of skin first. For extensive or persistent eczema, consult a paediatric dermatologist.

Can CBD products for children cause side effects?
With correct dosing and low concentrations, side effects are rare. Occasionally, dry mouth, mild loss of appetite or tiredness may occur — most often when the dose is increased too quickly.
