How does making homemade hemp ointment for the skin work?

The basis of the recipe is shea butter, hemp herb and marigold. The herbs are added to the shea butter at a controlled temperature. The mixture is then left to rest, reheated and thoroughly filtered.

Hemp oil, beeswax and vitamin E are then added to the clean base. After thorough mixing, all that remains is to pour the finished ointment into the enclosed metal tins and let it cool.
