Hemp muesli for horses

Hemp muesli without oats is a 100% natural and balanced feed for horses. It is a feed that has been developed with help of nutritionists. It contains no preservatives and is designed to cover the daily ration for "hobby" horses. It is suitable to be used as a complete feed or as a supplement to the current feed. The muesli is molasses free, mould free and dust-free, suitable for sensitive, allergic and panting horses. It can also be fed to pregnant, old or convalescent horses. 

Composition of hemp muesli for horses

Alfalfa, hemp bran, flaxseed pomace, corn flakes, apple pomace, carrots, beetroot, carob and lemongrass.

Freshly harvested alfalfa is considered a valuable source of high-quality amino acids and also contains a variety of vitamins such as vitamin A and E, beta carotene and B vitamins. Bran from hemp is an ideal source of natural insoluble fibre, necessary for proper peristalsis (micro-movement) of the intestines, contributing to good digestion and elimination. Flaxseeds are the richest source of lignans and have antioxidant effects. Corn flakes increase the digestibility of feed and contain vitamin B. Apple pomace improves the overall immunity of the organism. Carrots are a rich source of carotene and vitamin B. Beetroot supports liver, stomach and bile production. Carob is suitable for horses with digestive problems, imbalances and diarrhoea. It contributes to a healthy coat, skin and hooves. Overall, it supports digestion and elimination. The polyphenolics contained have strong inhibitory effects on digestive enzymes. It has antibacterial, antiviral and antiseptic properties and is non-allergenic. Lemongrass lowers blood cholesterol and improves food intake.

Hemp muesli dosage 

For horses, dose 0.8-1.5 kg/day. The dose should be adjusted to the age and condition of the animal.

In the grazing season, lower doses can be fed, in winter the dose should be increased.

The whole feed has been developed over a number of months and we have gradually introduced it into the diet of different horses and tested it.
