Beta-caryophyllene is a natural aromatic compound commonly found in spices and plants. According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA, 2014), this compound is considered a safe flavoring substance for use in foods.

According to scientific publications (Gertsch et al., 2008; EFSA 2014; PMC10375362), the average daily intake of BCP from food ranges between 10–200 mg per day, which corresponds to normal consumption levels from traditional plant sources.
