Hemp bran 1 kg

Hemp cake contains a very high proportion of protein - even more than alfalfa (known especially for horse owners). For dogs, it is recommended for protein supplementation - especially for older dogs and we personally recommend it as a supplement to CBD oil for animals. 

Hemp cake is hypoallergenic and is also suitable for animals in recovery, especially for animals with weight loss to help them gain weight. The recommended daily dosage is based on weight - I give dogs a handful a day in their kibble and for a horse, it's half to three-quarters scoop/day. 

The great thing is that they don't need soaking and can be fed straight away, unlike other feeds.

Hemp bran contains an incredible fibre content of around 70%, so if you're looking for a fibre bomb, don't hesitate to choose it and feed it to your dog or horse! Hemp bran is finer than hemp cake, so it is also suitable for small breed dogs that have trouble chewing hemp cake.

Hemp bran can be fed together with hemp cake for horses - half a scoop a day is recommended/depends on the weight and performance of the horse. If you would like help with the dosage of hemp feed, please do not hesitate to contact our animal hemp counselling.

When starting to feed cake, we recommend starting gradually and getting the animals used to the food first.

In general: for smaller animals, feed 10 g of cake per 10 kg of weight per day. 

For horses, give 100-500 g of hempseed cake per day for every 500 kg of weight.

The dose should be adapted to the age and condition of the animal.

Dose hemp bran gradually. 

The recommended dosage for horses weighing 500 - 600 kg: 300 - max. 900 g per day depending on the load.

Suitable for all horses, especially mares, foals, old or sick horses, horses sensitive to feeding, nervous, stressed and problem horses, horses prone to colic. Do not feed hemp bran alone, but add it to feed mixes - muesli.  A combination with flax granules is excellent. Feed dry. Can be added to feed all year round.

For dogs, we recommend adding a tablespoon daily to the food - of course, for small breeds, we recommend a maximum of half a tablespoon and for large breeds a whole tablespoon.
