CBD has been a big trend lately thanks to its therapeutic abilities, and it is also suitable for virtually all ages. It is also very popular with London bankers and business managers - where and how do they use CBD? And how does it help them? We'll get to that as soon as we explain exactly what CBD is.

So what is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the so-called cannabinoids, substances naturally found in cannabis. Although THC has so far attracted most of the attention among these substances, it is CBD that is now the subject of much clinical research.

Not surprisingly. According to the findings so far, CBD has a number of properties that make it very attractive from a medical point of view. Thanks to its neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, pain and anxiety-relieving properties, it is already finding widespread use as a supportive agent for the treatment and prevention of a wide range of diseases and ailments. And the findings to date on the potential of this substance are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

CBD vs. THC

Although both substances originate from the same plant and are chemically related, there is a significant difference between CBD and THC. First and foremost, CBD has no psychoactive effects - don't expect a so-called "high" effect from it. In fact, CBD acts on other cannabinoid receptors in our bodies, so it is very different from THC in terms of its effects.

How does CBD work?

The human body contains a number of the aforementioned cannabinoid receptors that are sensitive to the cannabinoids in hemp. This system of receptors is known as the endocannabinoid system and is closely linked to and influences a wide range of bodily and functional functions, including immunity, pain perception, appetite, sleep, and many others.

CBD, along with other cannabinoids, can influence these functions by acting on the endocannabinoid system.

What can CBD do?

Studies looking at the therapeutic effects of CBD have been increasing recently. Their number is still insufficient to form an overall mosaic that explains the therapeutic potential of this substance. However, it is already clear that it could help, for example, in the following cases:

Road to health with daily CBD use

CBD is not just a supportive treatment for a variety of ailments. You can start using it even if nothing is worrying you right now. If CBD (in reasonable doses) becomes a regular addition to your diet, don't be surprised if your sleep improves, your skin becomes smoother, and you feel less stressed and more "at ease" overall.

Thanks to its antioxidant effects, CBD can also help with cholesterol regulation, helping to protect your heart as a preventative measure.

But let's go back to London...

After all, that's been said so far, it's no wonder CBD is all the rage among London's stressed and overworked executives and bankers.

A remedy that, depending on the dosage, can soothe as much as it can start the day? Which helps balance the body in a hectic lifestyle and which can be dripped into tea, used as a food additive, swallowed as a pill, or smoked through a vaporizer? And which is completely legal? The attitude of Londoners is clear - bring it on! The British capital has been bursting at the seams with CBD cafes, patisseries, tea rooms, and other businesses.

Where in London can you indulge in CBD?

If you live in the British capital, or if your travels have taken you there and you'd like to try CBD in the cozy atmosphere of a local establishment, your options are vast. To name a few:

  • Indie Beer. If you like unconventional beers, you'll love this place. In their wide range of products, you will also find beers with CBD content.
  • Behind this Wall is a bar in Hackney where CBD is used as an ingredient in some drinks. Check it out if you're in the area.
  • Do you like kebabs? And CBD? At Maison Bab's kebab house, you can have both - just order Gin&Chronic, a gin infused with CBD, with your meal. You'll find the business in Covent Garden.
  • The Farmacy restaurant can be found on Westbourne Grove in romantic Notting Hill. CBD drinks are also on the drinks menu here!
  • Are you more of a "coffee drinker"? You can buy CBD oil-infused coffee at Planet Organic on Tottenham Court Road. Give it a try!

  • In South Kensington, you'll find Muriel's Kitchen, where you can add CBD to any drink or dish for an extra charge.
  • Coffee, tea and CBD-infused hot chocolate can be served at places like California Kitchen, Mortimer House Kitchen, Brickwood Coffee, Feel Good Café and Glow Bar. At the latter, you can also have CBD croissants!
  • Want to try a CBD-infused marshmallow?  Sydney Rocks Artisan Coffee in Southgate will serve you. And at Yogland, you can enjoy CBD yogurt.
  • CBD has even made its way into the realms of yoga and massage. For example, you can get a massage using CBD oil at Deep Flow Therapy or LDN CBD. A combination of yoga and CBD can be found at Good Yoga Life.

The businesses mentioned here are, of course, just the tip of the iceberg of London's CBD scene, but perhaps they paint a sufficient picture of its diversity.

But you don't have to travel all the way to London to find CBD - quality CBD is easy to find here too, in a variety of forms, from CBD coffee, CBD capsules, CBD oil, and CBD cosmetics. Cannadorra is a guarantee of quality products and a great place to start your CBD journey!
