  • CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the most common natural compounds (cannabinoids) found in hemp and marijuana plants. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is not psychoactive since it does not bind to CB1 receptors. CBD has the potential to provide potential health and well-being benefits, as well as to alleviate some of the symptoms of certain diseases. It can be consumed in various doses and in various ways, be it vaporization, tinctures, and capsules.

  • CBD oil

CBD oil is an oil containing any concentration of cannabidiol (CBD). CBD oil can be obtained from hemp and marijuana plants. Therefore, in most cases, “hemp oil” and “CBD oil” are used together. Although there are several possible extraction methods, the most commonly used are CO2 extraction, which filters plant matter through a series of high-pressure, temperature-controlled chambers, and chemical extraction using ethanol. CBD can also be heated in a process called decarboxylation to improve the bioavailability of the product. CBD oil is often used as a tincture because of its ease of use. CBD oil can be classified as a “full-spectrum”, which means that it contains other cannabinoids in addition to CBD, or “based on isolate”, that is, it contains only cannabinoid CBD.

  • Cannabidiol

Also known as CBD, cannabidiol is one of 113 non-psychoactive cannabinoids found in hemp plants. Cannabis plants are high in cannabidiol. You need to know that cannabidiol does not cause intoxication even when consumed in large quantities. The terms cannabidiol and CBD are used interchangeably since CBD is an abbreviated form of the word cannabidiol.

  • Cannabinoids

Messengers, neurotransmitters of the endocannabinoid system. Cannabinoids act on endocannabinoid receptors located throughout the body and brain to trigger a response.

There are two types of cannabinoids:

    • Cannabinoids produced by our body, the so-called endocannabinoids.
    • Cannabinoids from hemp plants are exogenous cannabinoids. Exogenous CBD cannabinoids mimic the effects of endocannabinoids, which are produced as needed in your body and help maintain a balanced endocannabinoid systemю
  • Cannabis

The cannabis plant is one of the oldest domesticated crops in our history. As a result of breeding, some cannabis plants were cultivated for religious and medical purposes (marijuana), while others were grown for food, rope, and textiles (hemp). Hemp and marijuana are classified according to the content of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). While marijuana contains 5-30 percent THC, hemp contains only trace amounts (less than 0.3 percent), which are not enough to create any psychoactive effects.

  • Endocannabinoid system

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a combination of cellular receptors and corresponding molecules (agonists) in the human body. This system helps regulate sleep, appetite, mood, motor control, immune function, pleasure, pain, reproduction and fertility, regulation of memory and temperature. When ECS is in equilibrium, a person experiences homeostasis.

  • Entourage effect

The entourage effect is used to explain how the whole has a greater effect than its parts individually. Cannabis contains over 400 micronutrients. Many of these compounds have the ability to interact synergistically, which means that they work together. The entourage effect explains the ability of synergistic plant compounds to multiply the effects of other compounds. Many people prefer full-spectrum CBD products because of the potential benefits of this effect, as it contains more cannabinoids that work with each other.

  • Full-spectrum

The essence of a plant that still contains plant terpenes, unsaturated hydrocarbons, and flavonoids from the original plant source. A full-spectrum CBD product is the product of choice for those who want an entourage effect. Only a few of the many beneficial compounds found in full-spectrum CBDs include additional cannabinoids, omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, and all 20 amino acids.

  • Hemp

A non-psychoactive cannabis plant commonly cultivated for food (hemp seeds), textiles, skincare products, and food additives. Hemp is a tall, thin plant reaching 6 meters. While hemp and marijuana are Cannabis Sativa species, hemp differs from marijuana in its low THC content. To classify a plant as hemp, it must contain no more than 0.3% THC. This amount is not enough to cause any form of “intoxication”, even when using hemp oil in large quantities.

  • Hemp oil / hemp seed oil

Hemp oil and CBD hemp oil are completely different products. While CBD hemp oil is extracted from flowers and stems, ordinary hemp oil is squeezed from seeds. Hemp seed oil is most often used in skincare products and for cooking. The hemp seed oil contains no cannabidiol.

  • Industrial hemp

Industrial or agricultural hemp, which is the type of hemp from which CBD can be obtained, is grown specifically for inclusion in a number of products. As we have already noted, industrial hemp cannot contain more than 0.3% THC and therefore is completely separated from THC-containing cannabis strains, including medical marijuana.

  • Isolate

CBD isolate - cannabidiol in its pure form. To obtain the isolate, the full-spectrum CBD is further processed, removing all vegetable oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and other plant materials. The result is a purified product with a CBD purity of more than 99 percent. Isolates have no taste or smell. Products made using CBD isolate are often preferred by those who want to avoid even trace amounts of THC and those who prefer to add CBD to their favorite recipes.

  • Marijuana

Marijuana is a cannabis plant classified as a controlled substance of the 1st degree. Marijuana contains a high level (5-30 percent) of the cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). This psychoactive cannabinoid binds to CB1 receptors in the brain, leading to a state of relaxation and euphoria associated with marijuana use. Although marijuana is not approved for use in most countries, some doctors may prescribe it.

  • MCT oil

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. MCT oils are easily absorbed by the body and are not stored as fat or cholesterol. Typically, MCT is a combination of palm oil and coconut oil. It is believed that the resulting compound is better than using each of these oils individually. MCTs are sometimes used to lower cholesterol and increase muscle mass and strength in older people.

  • Pure CBD Oil

Pure CBD oil, in fact, is the opposite of a full-spectrum oil. Pure oil is created using CBD isolate with MCT oil and anhydrous hemp oil. Pure CBD oil is odorless, tasteless and ideal for those who do not care about the taste of CBD or want to be sure to use the product without THC. Pure CBD oil can be used sublingually or added to a selection of foods or drinks.

  • Terpenes

Terpenes are another type of compound found in plants, including the cannabis plant. In particular, they represent a class of organic hydrocarbons responsible for the aroma of a plant. It is believed that terpenes can interact with other cannabis compounds to alter or enhance the CBD effect, called the entourage effect.

  • THC

THC refers to delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the main psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. THC is responsible for the euphoria that accompanies marijuana. Cannabis plants contain an extremely small amount of THC (<0.3%).
